April 17th, 2010This question has been asked a few times but when it comes down to proving the case-it gets a little tricky, as there are so many other factors which come into play when assessing such a small factor involving on-page SEO.
The true test to see which worked better as a ranking factor would be to;
- Create two domains both with the same name hyphened with a number to differentiate the two. E.g. willow-34.co.uk and willow-36.co.uk (with the same domain age)
- Host both domains on separate class C ip addresses, preferably with the same hosting company on similar spec servers.
